Graduation Stationary Set

My awesome friend Karie showed me a gorgeous stationary set she made for her kid's teachers. I begged her to teach me so I could use it as a graduation gift. After tons of pestering she'd had enough and gave in! LOL!




The box holds a monogrammed card set, a small 2.5 inch square note card set, some gift tags, postage stamps and a gift card. It's not exactly how Karie made hers, but this one fits my needs.

Monogrammed Card Set

Aren't these pebbles So Tweet Collection papers darling? As soon as I walked into Southern Scrapbooks I was drawn to them. I can't wait to use them on a spring layout for GQ! I also thought they'd be perfect for the monogrammed card set I was making for a client. She likes greens and browns...colors from nature and I thought these papers would be perfect! I love the way the turned out, now I need to make a set for me!

Moving forward, I will try to list all supplies used for cards. Hopefully you'll see the elements section at the end of each post. I might not always list the specific color(s) but I'll try...

Out the door...

The SC Etsy Street Team January Love contest has ended and a winner of the monogrammed note card set has been chosen. Since I sponsored the prize, it was up to me to get it in the mail. I put everything together last week so all that would remain would be the stamping of the monogram. I'm so glad I did it that way because the past few days have been so beautiful we've been outside enjoying the sun and mild temperature instead of crafting inside.

Here is a little peak of the note card set I made. It's a set of six, two of each design. I'm really loving the browns and blues...I just might have to make one for myself!

By the way...big thanks to everybody that voted for my Love card...it won! woo hoo! I am going to be featured on the SC Etsy Street Team's blog, I'll let you know when that happens!

Recent creations...

Here are a few cards that I made last week. I have a couple sets of monogrammed cards that I worked on along with a card for an engagement party. I took pictures several days ago and completely forgot to get them uploaded onto the computer.

I haven't worked on anything this week...I really need to get myself in gear, I have some Christmas cards to get made for my mom. I imagine she'd like them before Christmas so she can get them mailed out to her friends :D

Crazy about monogramming!

Monogram Note Card for GQ

It seems like anytime GQ needs a thank-you note to send I'm making them last minute. I decided to make a set of note cards for him that I could use if I didn't have time to make thank-you notes. I had a little picture of how I'd make his note card in my head and finally put it together last night. It's pretty simple, but I really love how the little caterpillar turned out! And it's pretty appropriate to use on GQ's cards right now because he's so intrigued by them. We have lots crawling around right now and each time he sees one he'll stop and watch it and then explain to me that pretty soon it will turn into a beautiful butterfly.

I did have one little snafu while attempting to make my cards...I pulled my acrylic letter g off it's packaging to use and the dang thing ripped! I was so mad and expressed my anger loudly enough to wake a napping hubby...oops! At least I didn't wake the kiddo! Somehow I was able to piece it back together on my acrylic block and you couldn't see any seams, but I'm still not happy that my stamped ripped the first time I went to use it.
