It's a work in progress...
but it's coming together. I have most everything organized and labeled so I'm not endlessly hunting, but I have to use the room and make adjustments, I'm sure. The walls are bare but will soon be dressed and the chandelier and curtain rod are going to be given a new life, but those are just little things that need to get done. I also need to figure out how I want to store my paper...still researching and brainstorming. Keep in mind while looking at the pictures that this is actually a formal dining room. We're not "formal" diners so it's my room :D The room is open to the rest of the house so it needs to remain decorated and clean like any room that is basically seen by all...incentive for me to keep organized!

Organizing my scraproom...

I was so pumped when I logged onto my mommies message board and found a mommy wanting to get rid of three iron & wicker dressers. I knew they would be perfect in my scrap room...ok, scrap room-to-be since I don't officially have it yet. But that is a requirement on our list of things for our new house!
So GQ and I head off this afternoon to run errands, including picking up my new dressers. I was going to add 11 drawers of storage to my space! So excited! Finally, punches and sparkles and ribbons and cutting tools will all have a home of their own! We get home and get the dressers into my scraproom/toy room and I begin arranging furniture and filling drawers and so does GQ! While I was filling the smaller two with my goodies, GQ was filling the biggest dresser with puzzles and balls and electronic games and board games...
It was so cute to see him going through his toys putting them away (I've been trying to convince him for over a year that he CAN pick-up after himself, but he swears he's not fast enough!) I guess he thought this furniture was worthy enough to house his toys. Since he was being such a big boy helping clean the toy part of the room, including making to donate pile, I decided that I would let him borrow my furniture to house his toys for a while. But when I get my very own scrapping room I'm taking it back! Who sounds like the 3.5 year old now? LOL!

*** Added Pictures ***
The two nigh-standish pieces on either side of my desk are packed full of crafting goodies. And the taller dresser is the one I've loaned to the kiddo. I have big plans for it though.. :D

Do you hide your Stickles?
I do! And this is why...

GQ was a bit too quiet while I was uploading some pictures on the computer. I sneaked downstairs to see what he was up to and found him at my desk with my Stickles! He loves to play with them so I hide them...apparently not well enough! He was so proud of himself, he said that he was making me a birthday present surprise. Too cute! His creation was beautiful. I'd take a picture but it's still drying. He went quite heavy on some of the areas. (BTW...if you don't know what Stickles are, they're these wonderful little bottles of glue with glitter mixed in. They have so many colors and there are so many things you can do with them. Wish I was the genius that created them!)

Look what Santa brought me!

Well, sort of. My mom gave me a gift card to Michael's for Christmas and this is what I bought with it. I found a 50% coupon in the Sunday paper and then used my gift card and a new scrapbooking and stamping tool sits upon my desk! It stores tons of stuff and it looks so pretty on my desk. It is also going to keep me from digging through three or four drawers looking for frequently used or usually forgotten stuff. Hopefully I'll use some of my embellishments that I've been hoarding vs. using. And it's freeing up room for new stuff in those drawers :)
