I {heart} Etsy!

As we've tried to green our family and household I've also started looking into more handmade products for gifts and home. Since the products are made by human power instead of machine power, I feel like they're greener.

Etsy is an awesome place to find all sorts of handmade products. Take some time and browse; it's easy to spend an hour just looking around and accumulating a list of things you want. My friend, Paula, has some of her Plays With Mud products on Etsy...I just bought something from her, too. I can't show you a picture or tell you what it is because it's a Christmas gift :D Her wee pots are gorgeous and she has some great coaster sets that are perfect for gift giving.

I made a second purchase from Etsy the other day. I was in need of a little cosmetic bag for my canvas bag/purse. It's a large bag I can throw all the kiddo's provisions in while we're out and about so my stuff sort of gets lost in the bottom. I found some lovely little zipper pouches made by Fatts MaGee. There were several patterns and I found one that matches perfectly with my green bag. I just love the colors and the print! Now I'll never have to guess where my chapstick is! If you're in need of a pouch or purse check out her Etsy shop, she's offering free shipping on pouches right now. And she ships out lightening fast!

Almost forgot to post this...I came across some great websites with easy ways to go green. Thought you might be interested. Thanks
Simple Mom for the links! There are some new ideas on these sites we need to try as a family along with some things we already do and didn't realize that it's actually sort of green.
