New Shoes = New Attitude

Our little guy has been doing some growing recently. His skinny little legs are getting longer and longer...and his feet finally had a little growth spurt and he was in need of some new tennies, his last pair lasted more than 6 mos. Now are guy is a little shopper, he really was looking forward to shoe shopping. We were too until we got to the store and he didn't like anything we did...in Dillards he almost had a meltdown because we refused to buy him some U-G-L-Y sandals that were two sizes too big. Luckily we're getting better with distraction tactics and scurried out of the kiddo department.

Daddy decided to look online for some cool shoes to avoid anymore near meltdowns at the mall. We have several requirements...no velcro (personal preference), no lights, no characters, prefer not white and are $50 or less. You'd be surprised how difficult it can be to find a shoe that fits all that. And we didn't...we went over the budget a smidge, but found a pretty cool shoe. They're Stride Rite Superball shoes. If you turn his shoes upside down you'll see the bottom 1/2 of four superballs. He says they make him jump really high! I asked GQ to show me how high those shoes made him jump so I could take a picture. I love these three pictures that I got of him...

I hate character clothes! However, we did buy B a pair of Mickey Mouse tennis shoes a few years back and he still talks about them.
