I have some good news!

Today was GQ's Mice on Ice class, which he loves and I love the 1/2 hour break I get to just run my mouth with out toddler interruption. :D I was chatting with a mom that I've been talking to since GQ started lessons almost 12 weeks ago and somehow the conversation turned to scrapbooking. I think I was telling her how GQ loved crafty stuff and especially getting into my adhesive. She responded "you scrapbook? I'm the manager of Family Memories." My face lit up, I'm sure. I knew there was a local scrapbook store somewhere in Charlotte, but I'm sort of afraid to venture out too much into Charlotte w/out the husband and the last place he wants to go is the paper heaven that a scrapbook store is. Anyway, she gave me the run down of their product lines; they sell some of my favorite papers and rubber stamps and they have classes for cards, which I always love. The best thing about this store...they have a child play area! So I can take GQ with me and gate him off from all the goodies that I want to browse through and buy! (BTW...I can't believe it took so long to find out that we had scrapbooking in common...next week is the last week for lessons, we could have been scrap chatting for weeks!)

Thanks for sharing in my joy today! Hubby thinks this is quite hilarious...he asked me if I wet myself when I heard where Laura worked. LOL! Even though he makes fun on my crazy love of paper, ink and adhesives he loves what I can do with them and doesn't seem to notice what I spend on them :D He's the best!

It's on S Tryon. She told me I'd take exit 1 off of 485. Now, I suck at directions here, so I can't give you much more than that. I figure I'll plug the address into GPS and get there :D Their website is www.familymemoriesnc.com

I thought the whole kids area was genius, too! It's so hard to shop for paper w/little hands reaching for it too.

How smart are they? I wish my LSS had a kids area. That would make life so much easier and my bank account so much smaller! :)
