Life...

Wow, life is busy! I'm finding out what it means to have a child in school. Not as much free time for me like I thought it would be. Mornings and afternoons are quickly filled w/volunteer opportunities at the school or little programs the kids are putting on...it's endless, but it's fun!

Since it's the little bug's school life that seems to keep me busy, I thought I'd share a few pics of what it is I've been doing there. (In no random order...I'm feeling too lazy for formatting tonight, sorry.)

Turkey Treats: made these for bug's class. Not my idea completely, I saw a similar cookie but in addition to what is pictured below it had an Oreo and several more candy corns. I modified for a slightly less sugary snack.

Door decorating: I was given a theme and a weekend to design the door. Each snowflake will be embellished w/a holiday sentiment from the class.

Thanksgiving family project: Disguise the turkey so nobody eats him for Thanksgiving dinner. Ours turned into a sheep. He was pretty heavy...the teacher had to use extra masking tape to keep him hanging on the wall. :)

Thanksgiving skit: my little pilgrim man...the class sang two songs and then acted out a little story. Adorable!

School fundraiser: Boosterthon Fun Run. I was skeptical because I didn't like the % the school keeps but it raised enough funds to be the only fundraiser for the year!
