A new running routine...

I think I'm going to amp up my 5k training. I'm pretty sure I could run a 5k today if I had to. I don' t know that it would be easy so I'm adding time/distance to my morning runs. I'm also thinking about adding a 4th day to my training. As much as I love my sleep I'm sort of enjoying running. It's hard to throw myself out of bed so early some mornings because I'm not adjusting my nights but once I'm out there I don't think about being tired.

I needed some new music to keep me going...just created this play list (if you're interested.) I like a bit of mellow in with some pep so there is a good mix for me.

Who Do You Tell It To - Rusted Root (warm up)
Oxford Comma - Vampire Weekend
Bodyrock - Moby
So What - P!nk
Time to Pretend - MGMT
In the Ayer (feat. Will.I.am) - Flo Rida
Boom Boom Pow - Black Eyed Peas
Low (feat. T-Pain) - Flo Rida
SexyBack (feat. Timbaland) - Justin Timberlake
Right Round - Flo Rida
Blister In The Sun - Violent Femmes
Closing Time - Semisonic
The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance - Vampire Weekend (cool down)

Wish me luck on my new routine, beginning tomorrow!

Cheers!

A very simple, one layer card. This card is perfect for an anniversary! I scored some lines for a little bit of subtle texture. And the champagne glasses are filled in with Spica markers for sparkle.

elements:
cardstock: Papertrey Ink
pearls: Hero Arts
ink: Ranger
markers: Copic Spica

White on white on white...

A few months ago Karie posted a gorgeous card that was 99% white. I thought it was beautiful! I had never thought about using white on white on white...just seemed wrong to me until I saw her card. Definitely have to make more of these!

elements:
cardstock: Papertrey Ink

flower: Heidi Swapp
bling: Heidi Swapp

stamp: CTMH
ink: Ranger

They both love the water!

Grandma's dog loves the water just as much as GQ does!

Two more layouts down...

about 10 more to go!

I attempted to convert some color pics to sepia tone and liked the results. And GQ helped me create his 'Uncle' Kent page, suggesting colors and creating the trees from circles and rectangles. Fun!

Going digital...

I realized I've taken far too many pictures this summer and have way too much to scrapbook. So I'm going to catch up with digital scrapbooking. As much as I play around with PSE I have yet to create a page for my scrapbooks that's entirely digital. But with a list of about 12 layouts I'd like to get completed in order to be caught up, I'm going digital... I'm still trying to find my style digitally but it's fun to play around and see what I do and don't like.

I cropped this guy wrong...that's what the black outline is on two sides. It's a white paper base w/out the black outline.

I just realized I forgot to look for grammatical errors in my journaling...let me know if you see anything. eek!

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

I found this very entertaining...

I swear I'll have crafty stuff to post soon. I came across this video and loved it! As much as I liked Riverdance I always enjoyed people goofing on Michael Flately. This is great...

40th Birthday Scrapbook

My mother-in-law put together a scrapbook for my sister-in-laws 40th birthday. She asked friends and family members to contribute pictures, wishes, stories, etc if they wanted. Here are the digital pages I created for the book. I can't decide which is my favorite...I'm really enjoying tinkering around in Photoshop and figuring out new things.

The hand drawn picture in there is actually a photograph I took of the card GQ made for Aunt Sara. Thought it would be a neat way for her to save it forever.

Have a great weekend!

Blog Candy! Woot!

Check out Ya Buggin' Me and enter her awesome blog candy giveaway! Her work is adorable...check it out!

Love this!

We've been on vacation and I've been slow to get back to card making. I'll be back soon...I promise. In the meantime, here is a video of a txt message that I used to have on my phone (until I put it in the washing machine...oops!) GQ thinks it's hilarious and was disappointed when I had to replace my phone and lost that message. Through the magic of youtube, I found it...somebody liked it well enough to play the message on their phone and record it. Crazy but GQ was happy they did it.
