I've been a busy busy bee...

Since Gavin has been with his grandparents all weekend I've had some time for chores and card making. This is probably the last of my creations for the day. It's another tent card. I really like the easy design and wanted to try it out w/another of my stamps.

This card has lots of sparkle on it. Not sure if the picture shows it too well, but there is sparkle on the dress bodice and the flowers. And there is also sparkle on the swirls that I stamped on the background paper. Very simple but very sparkly!

Using some of my newly aquired stamps...

I just got a retired set of Stampin' Up! stamps and I wanted to give them a try. This is a simple birthday card that I made. The one present is on bling paper and popped up w/a dimensional adhesive. And the Happy Birthday is heat embossed with some powder that I've had on hand for a bit and hadn't opened until today.

Cards for Sara

I made these little 3x3 blank cards for my sister-in-law, Sara. She's a teacher and I thought she might be able to use them with her students for words of encouragement or a job well done. I still have more to make, but this is what I was able to get done this weekend.

Fella and his bella...

I love this stamp! I bought it to make a wedding card for a family member. But I just love this stamp and had to use it for myself!

I found this card sketch on www.splitcoaststampers.com. It's sketch challenge 134. They have a weekly sketch challenge but, I've never participated...and still haven't. I really liked this card sketch and thought I'd give it a try.

The card is called a tent topper, I think. The base of the card if 4.25 x 4.25 and then the topper added give a total vertical dimension of 5.5 inches.

I don't know if you can make it out w/the scan, but bella has some mighty big bling on that wedding finger!

Here are a few cards that I've made...

Can you tell that green is my favorite color? I used it in just about every card I make :)

I don't remember where I saw this card layout

but I really liked it and this is my creation using it. I really like the patterned paper and colors, I'm just not sure I like my coloring on the stamped image. . .it's not bad but not good either.

Birthday Card for a little girl

Another new stamp that I got recently. Made it into a simple card for a little girl's birthday. The card colors were inspired by the striped ribbon.

A little get well card

Just playing with a new stamp that I bought. I really like the cute little bug. I also got a crimper and wanted to try that out. So, if it's not noticeable in the scan, the blue paper is textured w/the crimper. Thanks for looking!

Another kid's birthday card.

Lots of kid's birthdays this time of year...here is another card that I made for one. It's white core paper, which I'm not usually thrilled about, but I like the way it looked on this one after a little distressing. The wings and body on the dragonfly are done w/Stickles, so they are nice and sparkly. There is also a little sparkle on the patterned paper for the bug trails.

A new stamp!

I just love getting my new stamps in the mail. This one is a bella stamp and it's so cool! I really like this card but it's hard to see all the sparkle from the scan. The inside reads Celebrate in Style!

Circle Card

I was inspired by my card-making friend Karie to attempt a round card. Here is the card I created. I made for a little girl's birthday. Just love the little bug stamp and the bold girly colors!

It's difficult to see from the crappy picture I took, but there are stickles and other little pieces of bling on the card. The stickles are in the heart that Madame Spider is holding.

Thanks for the inspiration Karie!

New stamps!

I ordered some new stamps a couple weeks ago and they're finally here! They are too cute...little dinosaurs. I'm so excited to use them on some stuff for Gavin. I wanted to try them out this afternoon at nap time and here is what I came up with. I'm not the greatest at water coloring, but I try. The card didn't turn out like I had planned, but I'm trying to use scrap paper and stuff on hand rather than buying new stuff and letting it stock pile! It's a challenge in itself! All in all I like this card. I actually made two identical cards. The inside of one reads Hope it rocks! and the inside of the other reads You might be old, but at least you're not extinct!
