Non-girly card...my attempt...

Today is my husband's birthday. Here is a card that I put together. I wanted it to be fun since it's from both Gavin and me. It's more kid like than a male card, but it's better than flowers and polka dots!

I keep meaning to buy googly eyes for my little critter stamps but always forget about them when I'm at Michael's. If I did have them though, the card would have been much cuter w/googly-eyed hopping frogs ;)

Wedding card with a little bling!

Here is a wedding card that I made for a friends wedding next week. I still need to add a little bit of sparkle to it, but wanted to scan it before I forgot. It's all using Bazzill Bling, I've never used it before, but it's pretty cool. The inside of the card is heat embossed in silver w/the saying forever & ever & ever & ever.

I just looked at the picture of my Easter page...

and it's not the greatest. Sorry! I should have turned off the flash because you can't see the top 1/2 of a picture of Gavin because of it. I'm working on my photography skills. Hopefully soon I won't have such issues. :)

Easter scrapbook page

I finally had some time to scrap Gavin's Easter. I like the layout of the page, still not sure about the green base I used. Sort of reminds me of the split-pea soup that my mom used to make and made us eat :) The picture of the bunny is actually our very own Easter bunny. He lives under our deck and makes an appearance most mornings. He came out and sat in the sun a bit on Easter (well, actually the day after) just for Gavin.

Ok, this one really is the last post for today.

One of my favorite scrapbook pages yet! I love the pictures and the paper that I found to use. It's just sort of fitting for the mud/dirt theme. Gavin was playing in the mud and having the greatest time. I couldn't help but grab the camera and capture it.

I do have to admit that I scrap-lifted the layout from a magazine. I just loved the layout and it worked perfectly with my two pictures. The colors, paper choice and theme were all mine. I had Gavin for that inspiration.

Last post for today...

A wedding card. I'm still learning to use all the tools that I bought to make cards. I have chalks but I'm still figuring out some cool ways to use them. I used them on the cake for this card and then topped it off with some Stickles for a little sparkle! The inside of the card is light blue w/Happy Wedding Day in brown ink.

Frogs & Argyle

Who doesn't love them both? This is one of my favorite cards, probably because of the frog and the argyle :) I just love the little froggy and the doubled sided patterned paper.

My first post...

A friend of mine asked me to make an invite for her daughter's birthday party. Of course I was thrilled to do so. I was so excited to be able to use girly colors, I don't get to do that too much since I scrap for my guys mostly. Anyway, it was a luau theme with lots of bright colors. I loved designing and putting it together. The card is tri-fold. It opens up to a white center than has all the party details printed in the same color blue as the base of the invite.
